Nature of Business
Access Control Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is a privately owned company, incorporated in the State of Florida. ACT Serves as a direct marketer of products and also as a systems integrator. We provide both in-house and on-site service for all products sold.
Our main product lines include Access Control, Fencing, CCTV and Door Control, together with all accessory items.
Our Access Control Systems range from simple, single, common code card readers through remote programmable PC based, telephone entry systems with laser scanners, transaction tracking and control of multiple entrance and exit systems.
Timeline
- 1942 – ACT
was founded. Originally named Office Equipment Exchange (OEE)
- 1950’s – In the Early 50’s OEE was granted the Cincinnati Time Distributorship for the Central Florida area. In the mid 50’s OEE made it’s first sale of Cincinnati Parking Equipment for use in surface lots in Orlando.
- 1960’s - OEE researched, developed, patented, manufactured and installed our own barrier gate.
- 1970’s - The majority of our business was in time recorders (to record employee work time) and dictating machines.
- 1980’s - Began marketing access control systems to residential communities and parking systems to multilevel garages. Changed company name to Adaptive Business Systems to better relate us to the systems work we were doing.
- 1990’s – In the 90’s, to help us be better identified with this market, we added the name Access Gate Systems.
- Late 1990's - Final name change to Access Control Technologies which we are using today.
- September 24, 2007 - Amano-McGann acquires Access Control Technologies' Parking Division
